I absolutely loved Clay Camp! As a relatively new clay artist I really appreciated all of the step by step demonstrations and the clear explanations from the presenters. I came away with so many new ideas to try! I am already looking forward to next time!

I had a fantastic experience with Clay Camp's 24x7 online live hand-building pottery workshops. The value was incredible, and the presenters were wonderful. It's a no-brainer for anyone looking to expand their skills or simply enjoy a weekend working alongside like-minded individuals. I particularly appreciated the variety of styles and the international vibe of the workshop. Overall, it was a great experience.

This was my first experience with this group. It did not disappoint. What an amazing time to watch and interact with all these amazing artists. Being able to follow along and create next to these masters of their technique was an awesome experience.
I will attend as much as I can for any new events! I hope to one day be a presenter :)

I thought Clay clamp was brilliantly contrived and executed. The format was very easy to follow and the engagement was priceless. I know this was a huge undertaking to organize, and I think you all for bringing this to our Pottery making community. I will definitely participate in future camps.

I loved this opportunity to learn! When I wasn't glued to my computer, I had to be at my "real job", so I'm glad that the sessions will be available for me to go back and see again at my own pace. There was so much information that I got a little overwhelmed, but that's why you recorded it, right? There were a few technical issues, and I wish everyone had the same quality of equipment, but I understand that this isn't really possible. In true Pottery Community fashion, everyone just rolled with it and made it work. I'd add my own confetti here just to make a point, but I don't know how! :-)

Absolutely loved the variety and the amazing artists with their wisdom and knowledege. My only complaint would be the audio and/or clarity wasn't that great from a few artists or they weren't holding things in the right spot when demonstrating so we could see properly.
Otherwise thanks for an amazing weekend - look forward to the next one!

So much great information! Every instructor I viewed was so generous with their time, knowledge and techniques. Best instructional value around! Can't wait to go back and watch the ones I missed.

Wow! What a great weekend. There was so much to take in and now there are fresh ideas bouncing around in my head.

This camp was worth the $59 so many times over. And I will have them forever to watch the ones in the overnight which I missed. I learned so much, experienced much inspiration, and am eager to go to my studio today. Cannot say thank you enough for jump starting my pottery experience. I look forward to more workshops and plan to follow many instructors. I also bought last year's hand building camp. Thank you.

Clay Camp was great! In one weekend, I was able to watch artists demonstrate their unique styles from many different countries. It was definitely worth the extra cost of paying for recordings, as I couldn’t watch everything live with my schedule. I look forward to watching the sessions I missed! It was a great way to get inspired to try new things myself.

Clay Camp was the most informative workshop I have ever attended. To think that professional artists give up their time to carefully guide you through their very own extensive processes to achieve the best results possible is nothing more than amazing!! Not only watching them carry out these processes online in person but answering the many questions being asked of each process at the same time. I will not hesitate to join in to Clay Camp 2026 - totally overwhelmed but so informed- was it a success - YES! 5+stars from me.

Another great clay camp. I'm looking forward to watching the sessions that I couldn't attend "live". The presenters' enthusiasm for clay and decoration was catching. After a weekend of clay camp I am ready try some new techniques and get my hands in the clay.

This camp was inspiring, motivating and fun! So nice to be able to interact with other potters from around the world. Really enjoyed the ability to ask questions and get responses in real time. Such a talented line up of presenters. Thanks to all who made this possible!

The theme for this Clay Camp was of most interest to me. I love decorating my pots and learning new ways is very inspirational. I now have MANY new directions to explore. I wasn't able to watch all of the artists sessions so I am so glad that I have the option to see them again or view them in their entirety. Can't wait for the recordings to become available. I didn't like attendees that joined late and asked questions about processes that had already been covered and caused the artist to backtrack or be distracted. It took away from the forward flow of the session. I do like the ability to "chat" with the artist and the other attendees. It oft times provided additional info and techniques and made for more of an "in person" workshop feel.

I really enjoyed the majority of the sessions , I was surprised at the large number of sessions and the variety of topics there was! I’m pretty sure I will be back next year. I very much preferred the sessions that spent more time demonstrating and less Q&A time. Quite a few of the demonstrators were unable to finish due to so many interruptions from the audience or in some cases technical glitches.it was helpful when there was a moderator to weed out repetitive questions and allow the instructor to get through teaching his or her session.

Terrific workshops, glad I bought the option to watch them again, there were too many to fit into one weekend.

This is my first time attending. I just loved the informal setting and chatting during the classes. I really appreciated the time and effort put in to making this so fun. I like that the links to Instagram and artist websites were posted as well. I am a hobby potter and clay obsessed. I felt like I spent the weekend totally immersed in my passion.

Josh, you did a fantastic job! You were patient as you helped the presenters overcome technical difficulties. Now go take a nap!!

I have many chronic health issues, and I am always anxious to sign up for anything knowing I may be too sick to attend when the time comes. I was a little apprehensive, but with Clay Camp, knowing that I could rewatch when time allowed, or if I couldn’t keep up, or was just too tired, and that I could work at my own pace and not rush really helped me personally. Being able to enjoy it from the comfort of my own space yet still feel connected was magical as well. I loved hearing input from potters all over the world, and seeing how each of us approached things in unique ways. I was a little surprised that I enjoyed it even more than I anticipated, and think everyone I know should try at least one class in their free time, lol. Srsly, I cannot stop saying good things about this camp. I will be looking into other offered classes and look forward to the next Clay Camp!

I signed up for Clay Camp without really knowing anything about the artists or Ceramic School, the entity that put on Clay Camp. But I was interested in expanding my surface design skills and the price was right so I decided to go for it. I am SO glad I did! The teachers were incredible. Ceramic School did a fabulous job facilitating and curating the very packed long weekend workshop and I finished it having learned some new skills, totally inspired and full of gratitude. I will definitely take more classes with Ceramic School and, in all likelihood, will become a member. Many many thanks to Josh, the educating artists and everyone that came together to make it an fantastic weekend!

I just wanted to say how much I truly enjoyed these online courses. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend all of them live, which is why I opted for the replays. The diversity of artists, each showcasing different techniques with such passion and dedication, was absolutely fantastic. I found it truly inspiring.

I can't wait to get back from vacation to rewatch everything in peace.

I also have two or three small suggestions—not criticisms, just ideas for improvement for the next session. I would recommend removing the name banner of the artist after the introduction, as it takes up part of the screen, which is a bit unfortunate.

I didn't have access to the chat, so perhaps that's why I couldn't see the questions being asked. But if that's not the case, it would be great to display the questions on-screen, as there were moments when artists were answering, and I wasn’t sure what had been asked.

I also noticed some minor microphone issues—some were perfect, while others were difficult to hear.

Once again, I want to congratulate you on this fantastic organization. I’ll definitely be joining you for the next session!

I found Clay Camp's 24x7 online live surface decoration pottery workshops incredibly inspiring. Living in Oceania, the accessibility of these workshops was a huge advantage. Although I couldn't attend as many live sessions as I wanted due to other commitments, it's fantastic that I can access all the workshops through the playbacks. The tutors are very generous with sharing their skills, knowledge, and how they make their work. I highly recommended these workshops because of the wealth of knowledge, connection and inspiration they provide. Thank you, Joshua and the team, for curating these workshops; you're awesome.

I was super excited to attend this year's Clay Camp and all the lovely courses provided on surface decoration. I learnt quite a few more tips and tricks to add to my own portfolio. Focussing the course just of surface decoration was tremendous, as I and my students tended to struggle with what or how to add decoration, patterns and texture to our pieces.

I liked having the captions, as sometimes I didn't catch a word or ingredient etc.
Always.

Clay Camp was inspiring and full of tips and tricks no matter your skill level.

What an amazing weekend! The instructors were clear and shared great techniques and tips. I wasn't sure how it would be to have so many programs back to back, however time flew and I was online from 6am to 9pm enjoying every moment. Thank you all!

Clay camp from a user standpoint was great! The platform was easy to use, the interactive features were great and overall I had a wonderful experience and that’s not even considering all of the amazing artists that presented! I’ll be back next year for sure!

Clay Camp gave me more than I expected. It was an excellent course that gave me a lot of energy and motivation to continue working with ceramics. Although I use many of the techniques shown, each instructor taught me something new. Thank you, you organized the course perfectly. I felt like I was among friends.

I have been making and teaching pottery for over a decade and I still learned a lot from watching the demonstrations. It was also really fun to see potters in all parts of the world and visit their studios from the comfort of my home. I’m looking forward to seeing the recordings of the demos I was unable to attend.

I was only able to watch a couple courses as I was traveling but they were so informative and the teachers were very accommodating to the questions. I really enjoyed the conversational aspect to the format as long as the teacher gave themselves enough time to complete the tasks. It would be nice to ask people to put their questions in the Q & A instead of the chat and have another ceramics expert answer some of the questions to help out the instructor and then have a way to highlight the ones they aren't able to answer for the instructor to answer. Overall you have brought some amazing talent to your "camp" and I purchased the replays so I can come back and really spend time watching and learning. I also really liked that there was a theme around surface design. So great! I look forward to the next camp and more amazing courses. Nicely done.

This is my second clay camp and I absolutely loved it. Wasn't able to attend all which is why I LOVE and highly recommend the replays. It allows me to do the tutorials on my schedule and to revisit a segment as much as I like. Looking forward to the next one!! Thank you again for such an amazing and informative event.

I have no words to discribe how magnificent this camp was. So much new learned techniques and skills. It's great you can ask questions and interact with the teachers and other potters all over the world.

Clay Camp was genius! So many talented potters sharing their knowledge and how to’s and what I really loved as well were all the links to resources that were shared. I bookmarked as many as I could so I could go back and order items that will help me as I experiment with some of these processes. I’m definitely going to be applying some of what I learned into my clay journey. Thanks to the organizers, the presenters and volunteers. Bravo!

I watched a few and enjoyed the information. Looking forward to watching them at my leisure when they are available., as I signed up for the lifetime subscription.

MY biggest complaint is the way the presenters were so distracted (and distracting) when they read and answered questions from people sending in comments in the middle of there demos, their eye contact to the screen was terrible. Sometimes While watching, there were long silences as they read the questions to themselves and answered without telling the rest of the audience what the question was. I would highly recommend. that all questions be done at designated times only. . I would think twice about signing up again if this is the continued presentation mode.

I am long time fan of The Ceramic School. I like the broad range of knowledge and generosity sharing skills and tips by the speakers. And last but not least- Clay Camp is the best value for 3 days presentations. Thank you for your effort Josh and your team ! Definately I will be back

I think this was my 4th clay congress/camp and have come back because 1) I love the concept, 2) the 3 day/24hour execution, 3) the online support of ceramic mentors/professionals and teachers, and 4) the ability to do online chat during the presentations. I liked having longer demo times for this January 2025 Camp, but found some of the presenters maybe not experienced with video presentation and therefore didnt seem as well prepared to present their skill as others. And frankly, some skills didnt require a 2 hour demo time -- (as the presenter spent more time talking about themself rather than demo of the skill.) Loved the way presenters had a materials list/synopsis of what to expect and nice example photos of the ceramics topic from each presenter too.
My timezone prevented me from Live Viewing several sessions as they were in the wee morning hours when my eyes and brain are still dreaming. So, watching in real time, wasnt always an option..... I had to buy the replay package.
Also, I'm confused about what currency the charges for replays were.... Austrian$, US$, NZ$?
Love the variety of skills presented, and the variety of global countries represented. I look forward to the next installation of Clay Camp (or Clay Conference). Thanks Josh

I’m so grateful and appreciative of these camps; this was my second one. I would never be exposed to this variety, calibre of artists and benefit from the small tips, in my remote location. There were administrative improvements made from the previous one and I’m sure more will be made for the next. Everyone worked hard, shared their passion for the craft and I genuinely enjoyed every session I attended, regardless of whether or not I had an interest before the session, I came away with a greater appreciation for the variety and can’t wait to try some of the things I’ve learned….thank you, thank you! (P.S. that confetti has gotta go, man…every session, it was a struggle. 😂)

OMG, this was the best ceramic event I’ve ever attended. Every single presenter was fantastic. There were folks that when I looked at the schedule I thought, ‘their work is beautiful, but I don’t see applicability in that to my own work.’ Well, those sessions were the best! I’ve taken something from every single session that I can apply. And I’m excited about building community with some international artists I met through the networking events, and excited to have some materials resources to check out in the EU where I live. Clay Camp was fabulous!!! Can’t wait until the next one.

I will definitely be back. I was exposed to new surface decorations and learned new ideas. I like it most when I am able to work along with the presenter. Unfortunately I was not as prepared as I could have been to work along with the presenters like I was for the homebuilding camp. This was a combination of lacking experience and knowing what I needed to prepare going in. My freshest memory gives the example of Sunday night's sgraffito class, Ashley Bergeron: Sgraffito, Mishima, and some thing in-between. When Ashley began working on her glazed piece, I was unable to follow along. Following along or keeping my hands busy helps me to keep attentive. I'm sure this was was due to my ignorance of the medium. Now I am learned :). Next time I'll be better prepared and I'll make plans for simple projects to keep my hands idle during the classes I am unable to work along side. I'm looking forward to the videos. Armed with this weekends knowledge, I've got some techniques to review and experiment with more thoroughly.

Can't wait for the next camp!

My head is swimming with ideas! It was my first time taking an online weekend workshop and this definitely gets a thumbs up. Another surprise, this was geared to all levels of ceramic artists from around the world. Loved responsiveness of the presenters and their ability to work and talk to a screen. lol. The trouble shooters were wonderful. I am excited about being able to come back and revisit the sessions. I hope all the suggestions and links that were shared in the chat will be on the review also as it was difficult for me to keep up with session and check out links. It is a definite yes I will come back for more sessions. This is one email I don’t mind sharing.

When I joined Clay Camp for the first time, I didn't know what to expect. The camp was more than I could ever imagine, with talented ceramists who were willing to share their individual techniques and creations! I will definitely join next time, for more inspiration and motivation! Thank you!

What a great weekend! I am located in Australia, and was still able to access many live workshops without losing sleep. A wonderfully inspiring weekend jam packed with ideas to try on surface design! I would recommend enrolling with the option to view the classes again as there were so many wonderful sessions that it was impossible to attend them all and retain all the information. You are definitely going to want to revisit sessions. I have been creating work non stop after attending! I loved this experience! I thoroughly enjoyed the Clay Camp 24x7 online live hand-building pottery workshops. The instructors were both skilled and engaging, making the experience highly enjoyable. The flexibility of having access to replays was invaluable, as attending continuously would have been challenging. A highlight for me was witnessing the live techniques of two artists I admire. Overall, I would recommend these workshops to others.

What an amazing wealth of information shared over the course of this weekend! Even one workshop would have been worth the money; the quality of instruction was great. I was able to attend a handful of sessions live, and am looking forward to viewing the recordings of all the great workshops I missed! I am so grateful for all of the artists who shared their time and knowledge for this event!

One suggestion I have for future events would be a more heavily moderated chat section- the live chat is a valuable tool and I love how interactive the workshop can be, BUT the chat was often distracting for both the artist leading the session and me as a viewer, with so many people commenting... asking to be caught up as they signed on (very) late, complaining about technical issues that were often on their end, rude requests/ demands for the artists to change things about their presentations, etc.

I enjoyed it very much!!! I want to take more work shops with Clay Camp in the future. If I have anything negative to say it’s about the video quality, but I couldn’t do any better!

Wonderful mix of workshops and presenters, incredible value. Very inspiring. The event was also very well organised.

I love the variety of ceramists that taught. I didn't end up watching very much live as I was called in to work. I look forward to viewing the recordings. I think the chat and Q and A probably appeal to others more than me. I plan to fast forward through the parts in which the artist who is teaching stops to read the questions or comments. It seemed that most of the questions viewers were asking had already been answered earlier. The artists I watched were super patient though, which was nice to see.

Clay Camp was very interesting and informative. The tutors shared their knowledge and answered questions without hesitation in a warm and friendly manner. I learned new techniques that I will put to practice. Something that I liked very much is that everyone could learn something, regardless of their level in ceramics. I wll be coming back for sure!

I enjoyed the clay camp very much even after some glitches on signing in. It was my first and must say I learned so much and took as many notes as possible. I was able to use my phone to log on once and would’ve love to do some house chores while listening to the speaker. The timing was perfect and the speakers were very engaging. I had intentions on taking part of the demo but preferred to take notes instead. I think Q&A should be save for last, if possible because it appears to slow down the demo.

That was the best weekend ever! Clay camp was amazing once again! I watched and participated as much as I could but I need my beauty sleep lol, so I’m very thankful I’ll be able to replay them at any time. To learn from artists all around the world is priceless! A lot of time and energy went into those three days and I am most appreciative and definitely inspired!

Clay Camp was great! Though I was not able to attend all workshops in real time the 5 or so I saw were interesting and helpful. I appreciate the replay options. I got a lot of ideas for my practice and, even tho I might not use the techniques, it was inspiring to watch. So much variety. Folks seemed to generally be comfortable with technology.
One thing to consider another group does...they have a volunteer monitor chat and direct questions to presenter to assit with flow.
I will look forward to next one.

I absolutely loved the creative variety of the classes but also locations. So interesting to see artists managing product in different climates and humidity challenges.

I had to take an unexpected trip and was unable to watch the videos this past weekend. I did however, pay the $59 and look forward to watching them this weekend. A friend who took part told me they were excellent.

You had a wonderful line up of instructors at Clay Camp. I especially liked that for some of the techniques you had more than one workshop. It s helpful to see the different methods of doing the same basic thing. Thank you for your time and effort.

It was awesome! This was the first time I attended and definitely coming back. Two cameras in each session were great. Artists reading and responding questions were great. Moderators, you were awesome, putting links on the chat, helping with technical issues, just the energy you carried throughout! I am definitely watching the recordings!!! Learned so much.

The instructors were all very good and their skills were top notch. I got a lot of new ideas to try. I appreciate the breadth of classes that were offered. I also thought the technology was good given the number of classes and attendees to organize.

I found the continuous questions from 500+ participants that interrupted the instructor very distracting. I know some people like that interaction, but the questions were usually minor and duplicative as people joined late and asked things already covered. I probably won't attend live in the future, unless the camp moves to a fully moderated experience where the moderator reviews the questions submitted and only asks the instructor those that are timely and important.

This was a great weekend of pottery sessions. Every presenter showed something different and they all had unique styles. So incredible how generous these artists were sharing their techniques. Thoroughly enjoyable and informative!

Clay Camp was excellent—great content and great presenters who generously shared their experiences and skills with the attendees. I learned loads, especially some 'how-to's, that will really help me develop my own work. I will definitely be back for more Clay Camps! Well done to Joshua and his team for curating and moderating the content and to the presenters for their amazing content and advice.

I have yet to watch any of the videos but I was specifically interested in clay camp as there is such a variety of tutors giving in-depth tutorials.
I was unable to attend any of the live sessions because of other commitments but that's the beauty of the system, all sessions are recorded and for a little extra money you get a lifetime access to them. This is really helpful to go back over at a time that is convenient, even if you have to split is up into bitesize sessions.
I will definitely be coming back because it is outstanding value and very well run.

I felt like I got my money's worth halfway through the first day. All the presenters I saw were amazing. I really liked this format. It felt more like attending a live demo and less like watching a video presentation on Youtube. The tech were at times a bit glitchy but worth putting up with for the opportunity to interact with the artists. I got just as much or more from the spontaneous answers to attendees questions as I did from the prepared presentations. Material lists from the presenters were extremely helpful. I think the name "Clay Camp" is very apropos as this loose format, rooms set up for meeting other attendees is very much a camp experience. Looking forward to next year! Thanks to all the support staff and moderators. They did a great job!

This was my first time attending Clay Camp. Wow! So much great information and amazing artists! I didn’t know what to expect but I was not disappointed—it exceeded my expectations! I attended as many sessions as I could. I’m grateful that I have the opportunity to rewatch these sessions and watch the ones I missed (thanks to my husband who bought that registration option for my birthday ❣️). I can now go into my studio and practice along with the presenters. I know some viewers had reception/audio/visual difficulties but I did not. Everything came through just fine. Thank you for organizing this event and for making it affordable. I look forward to the next Clay Camp!

Hi from northern WI. This is the first time I have signed up for workshops from the Ceramic school. In my opinion Clay Camp is fantastic, AMAZING! and then some. I really appreciate the reasonable price. All the sessions I watched were so educational. Some I didn't think I would be interested in and instead found them also amazing. Ellen Duvall was the artist that hooked me to sign up :). I will definitely be signing up again. Can't wait to get the videos.

First time Clay Camp attendee and I was more than happy about the experience. I loved hearing about how everyone began their clay journey and seeing how different people approached their work. Got so much information and was inspired to try new things. All the ceramicists were very talented and so very willing to share their techniques and experiences. This is my second clay camp and I recommend it to anybody. I have learned so much from all the workshops and got loads and loads of inspiration. I can't wait until the replay comes online because I had to sleep between all the fun stuf!
Such a great place to learn from all places over the world in such a easy acces way.
Big thanks to the organisators, volunteers and offcourse, all the potters who gave workshops! My brain is in overload now from all the things it wants to make!

This was such an informative event, I learned so much! I can't wait to bring back information I learned at Clay Camp to my students as well.

I will definitely be back next time. I appreciate the recording that I can go back to since I didn't get to see the ones in the middle of the night and I want to go back to see somethings I need to see demonstrated again. There is something to learn in each of the sessions. A rich experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Clay Camp's 24x7 online live hand-building pottery workshops. The variety and quality of the workshops were impressive, with knowledgeable artists who excelled at sharing their techniques. I especially appreciated the option to watch reruns if I missed any sessions. I would highly recommend these workshops to anyone interested in pottery.

Note to organizers: the real disappointment here was the online platform. One camera was generally crystal clear while the second close-up camera was blurry, stilted and glitchy. It happened in every session I attended and unfortunately wasted time and flustered many of your presenters. I hope you’ll be able to pass that feedback on to the web-conference company. You probably had to pay them a pretty penny to use their platform so it’s a shame they didn’t deliver. My only suggestion for improvement is to use a different one next time! I hope there will be a next time!

Clay camp was great, packed with information. It was intense but so useful. I was surprised that instructors really did teach for 3 full hours. I'm looking forward to downloading some of the sessions I wasn't able to watch. The international nature of the audience was wonderful too. Kudos to all who organized, taught, and participated this program.

My suggestions for improvements are:
1. Too much time spent answering questions from the audience at the beginning, so that focused instruction didn't happen into well into the session. Next time don't take questions until a designated Q & A period after the guts of the session has happened.
2. Alot of time was spent in multiple sessions going over what underglazes, slips, tools etc were. Perhaps a first session that focused on these basics would have been helpful.
3. Most instructors were very well prepared but a couple seemed like they hadn't adequately outlined their session or tested their equipment.

I have waited many years for courses /workshops regarding decorating pottery, stencils, transfers, slips, screen printing, carving , freehand etc . I am mor motivated then I have been in yrs . Procreate & cricut are wonderful tools . I had no idea . Thanks for all the artists that took time out from there busy lives to do these workshops & all the organizers & moderators , great job

As a first time clay camper, I hade no idea what to expect. I thought I would watch here and there, play with clay here and there and no big deal. Man was I wrong. I got sucked into the vortex of knowledge and awesomeness from the first video. I didn't sleep, didn't shower, I barely ate and told my husband "the kids are yours". I am so ready for the next camp. I will stock up on ready to eat snacks and meals. I will purchase MANY energy drinks to have on hand, I will prep for EVERY class (because they are all so good), I will take the day after camp off from work, you know to catch up on sleep and I will send the rest of my family on a cruise. Mama needs to focus!! So too sum it up.... I freaking loved it!

All the presenters were amazing and I look forward to seeing the portions of clay camp that were during the 12 am to 8 am time frame (U.S. West Coast time zone).

The stand out for me was Ellen Duvall. She was well prepared and presented her process so well. I was inspired by her full session and I'm now motivated to invest in equipment to make stencils.

I attended the handbuilding clay camp and now the decorating clay camp. I will be attending the next clay camp as well. This is so much information for me as a beginner so every moment is cherished.

Clay Camp is a terrific concept! I’m looking forward to watching each presentation. The weekend schedule allowed for only two views which I found full of useful tips and techniques I can’t wait to try. Thanks for the option to watch all sessions. Do continue to provide this wonderful opportunity to see expert potters at work.

The sessions I attended were great.
Suggestions: When doing a marathon of classes, allow 5-10 minutes between end/start of each class. Encourage people to take that time to look at the materials list for the class that just ended or the next class.

Please ask artists to reduce the amount of their introductory talk - 5 minutes is plenty. While no one wants the super-fast type of presentations that are all over the internet, please streamline the intros. Some really went on and on.

Your posting of the pre-class materials list and where to find the materials is great!

While it was continually emphasized to put the questions in the Q/A, many attendees paid little attention to that. For example, folks who joined late, trying to catch up by using the Chat box - it's distracting to the presenter and a big time waster to everyone else. Seems like the moderator can answer the majority of questions posted there.

Clay Camp was amazing. I loved the whole concept of working together with people from all over the world and learning from the most amazing ceramic artists. The classes were well paced (at first I thought 3 hours would be too much), full of juicy information above and beyond the course descriptions, and the speakers were patient and instructed clearly as they worked along with the "campers". Being able to ask questions and get immediate replies was very satisfying!

I took the classes, but didn't participate in the other offerings due to time constraints.

I only wish I could stay up into the wee hours to take every course! having the replays is such a bonus to being at camp. Thank you for your marvelous work. in creating this camp. I will come again...and hopefully in person one of. these days. Best to oil all.

So pleased I paid for lifetime access! Due to power outages, courtesy of the recent storms this weekend, I only got to view Friday evening. I don't have to wait long, just received the email explaining how to access the recordings and when they'll be available. As a first timer to clay camp, definitely a positive experience so far

In spite of a few technical glitches, this weekend was an amazing conference! Every presenter, and I watched many, was well prepared and gave an excellent presentation. I paid for the recordings (such a bargain) and can't wait to get in my studio and play. The chats were also informative and made the experience even better. Thank you all, especially Josh, for the hard work that went into putting this together, So much generosity in our field of clay! I will definitely be back.
P.S. It would be great to include a few short presentations that included some stretching for potters.

This was a fantastic opportunity to learn from excellent potters. Loved Clay Camp, would absolutely do again. I attended several terrific workshops and am looking forward to viewing those that I missed. The workshop that Shawna Pincus did was amazing, such a great teacher! Thanks to all.

I wasn't able to attend as many sessions I would have liked (working and time zones), but even the ones I watched have made it worthwhile - I learned a lot in my very first session!

I am very much looking forward to seeing the videos in a few weeks and trying out more techniques.

I will definitely be back next time. I am now, and probably always be, a newbie so I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the techniques and meeting such fantastic artists.

The workshops were amazing, and the sheer amount of content was overwhelming. At first, I tried to go to every session, but then I realized that they ran continuously (24 hours a day), starting on Friday. I gave up on Friday at midnight. But I got back up at 4 am to join more. By Sunday evening, I couldn't do it anymore. Of course, I was up bright and early on Monday to finish. GET THE REPLAYS.

The opportunity to participate in the workshops has been valuable on many levels. Often a technique was brought up that I have used, it was presented in a new way and was refined by the way another person executes it. The questions from the attendees were often very useful. I love being introduced to new ways to work with the medium. Some new tools like the die cut machine, sparked my imagination. Just having set aside a weekend to listen and learn was valuable. Loved everyones insights and love of the medium of clay.
We are so lucky to be able to make art ,express our inner visions and find people who share this language of making, processing , expanding and sharing. Thank You .

I had a great experience with Clay Camp's 24x7 online live hand-building pottery workshops. The topics and themes were very engaging. Although I couldn't watch all the classes due to time zone differences, the ones I did attend were excellent. I would definitely recommend these workshops to others. My overall experience was positive, despite some technical issues.

I was very surprised a complicated event involving many countries,different time zones and many teachers could work out so well and my compliments to the organization. really amazing. I enjoyed many workshops and picked up new ideas. I hope to pick up more watching the registered lessons which I missed. I would certainly do it again. I have been attending these amazing workshop weekends every time from very nearly the beginning, and love, love, love them! Yeah…sometimes there are silly tech glitches…but overall they are absolutely THE BEST! The range and variety of artist demos is always fabulous! This time around I especially liked the longer demos and work along theme, despite me having to finish my own work instead! I will hands down always sign up for these incredible weekend sessions. There is always something wonderful to learn.

This was outstanding and the best use of $$ spent on ceramics resources for the past few years. I live in a remote area and this gave me access to knowledgeable artists, new techniques and ways to connect to others. Some of the presenters were very well prepared (Ellen Duvall) and some had technical challenges. All things considered, very good learning opportunity and I will do it again.

First time attendee.. found the sessions to be well organized and full of good practical content. Will use many of the tips and tricks learned. I will likely sign up for the next camp because it is certainly a great value.

This is the second time i participated in a event like this with ceramic school and as the first time, best thing ever! I love the community and the sharing and the beautiful souls who participate! I am excited to watch the replays.

I loved it. There was so much to learn and be inspired by and the artists were generous with their knowledge. The only thing that bothered me was that there were three or four sessions that had to do with silk screens and I don’t have the equipment to make those so it was a bit disappointing. Over all- great and I’d come again.

I had such a wonderful weekend participating in Clay Camp! I learned so much, and it was so inexpensive for the massive number of quality workshops on such a variety of techniques. It prompted me to become a monthly member to enjoy all the other amazing workshops on the site.

It was exciting and inspirational to meet the artists, to see their work and gain insight into their techniques. There were also lots of resources and tips from participants, too. I will be back next time and I can't wait to re-watch the sessions.

Absolutely loved the weekend. I was exhausted, to say the least, but all was great. I will definitely be back. Presenters were great and very well prepared.

Technology was a little difficult for some, and some lagging, but not sure what can be done about that.

Some paid too much attention to chat and it broke their focus on the workshop. Would prefer to have people leave questions in the Q&A and have people like or dislike questions, so important ones are movingd to the top.

Other than that loved all of it.

While in the middle of a creative block I stumbled upon Clay Camp. It was amazing. I saw so many techniques that I had never thought of before or tried that by the end of the weekend my head was spinning with ideas. I can't wait to get started.

I greatly enjoyed all the speakers I was able to catch live and look forward to watching everyone in the future! Clay Camp was easy to access and technical help was always at the ready for the speakers. Live sessions did a great job at answering questions! I learned a lot and gained much inspirations! Inspirational professionals shared their favorite techniques and spoke about creative, professional life. Well organized agenda and relevant speakers demonstrating useful techniques. The community feel of the chatty demonstrators and watchers was warm and friendly. I was surprised by how much technology people used to create imagery with iPads, ProCreate, vinyl stencils cutters, etc. I will definitely be back.

Clay Camp was so many things, collaboration, open sharing and learning techniques, links to everyones favorite products or tools, kind supportive group of like minded artists, humorous and fun, and I enjoyed every minute and learned so much.

The great array of talented people was most awe inspiring. Even when a session wasn't right up my alley, there were always techniques and insight that will help me in my practice.
The moderators were helpful in assisting Q ans A. The creators were often involved with craeting and it was great that somone else can bring questions up. Though I do think there should be a time slot just for Q and A. Maybe at the mid point and the end.
I will definitely be back next time. This was a really affordable way to learn so much!

Clay Camp 2025 was very informative and well executed using a versatile platform.
Josh and the team of moderators did a fantastic job keeping everything moving smoothly.
I especially liked the overall topic of surface decoration and the artists selected really hit lots of different styles and techniques perfectly.
The value for this camp is unmatched.
The session blocks were better back to back keeping things moving well.
Some things to consider;
Reduce the size of the artist name blocks as it covers some of the viewing areas occasionally.
Improve the second camera functionality. Seemed most presenters had freezing issues and timeouts.

Overall, this Clay Camp is a winner and I’m looking forward to the next one.

I’ll probably take advantage of the referral link next time, as I did bring a bunch of potters to the camp via social media posts and community discussions.

What a whirlwind of a weekend at Clay Camp: Surface Design! So many great sessions to choose from. But the great thing is, you don't really have to choose (you may just have to stay up for 72 hours to watch them all live :D). Good news is you can watch replays, so you don't have to miss a thing. There were opportunities to ask questions, work along during the sessions, and share our projects with others.

The instructors were so helpful and receptive to answering questions. After the sessions, all of the instructors we contacted via IG were responsive and supportive.

Will definitely be looking at attending more sessions!

Clay Camp is a fabulous program. I love the concept of linking the presenters by theme, and the wonderful variety of potters that I would not have an opportunity to learn from otherwise. They were all so generous in sharing their hard-earned skills and creativity. Well done! This was my second time and I will be back!

Lots of really interesting demonstrations with something to take a way from each one. Amazing value for money. Once I moved over to Chrome on my laptop, rather than Safari on the Ipad, connection was much more stable.
The presenters varied in their degree of preparedness, and overall the workshop time was well managed and the pace of sessions good.
The first workshop was the exception wherein the content of the first hour could have been covered in 15 minutes if the presenter had been better prepared and focused.
I found the ongoing chat frustrating at times - people asking questions that would quite obviously be covered by the presenter as they worked through their process - had people just watched and let them get on with it. (Hence only 4*) Going forwards there has to be a better way of managing questions.
Most presenters managed their cameras well, though the name banner across the bottom of the screens sometimes completely blocked the presenter's hands. Where there was also an overhead camera, this was less of a problem, but this wasn't always the case. Changes to the schedule caught me out a couple of times. Advice to keep an eye open for notifications would have helped...I only spotted this on the final day.
Well done for organising and delivering such a big event ...its no mean feat. Thank you all.

LOVED IT! Being able to really see what the presenters were doing was so much better than big screens at some workshops. There was something for folks at all levels. Seeing multiple techniques using similar materials was also nice. The moderators did a great job answering questions, although it did get a bit out of hand at times. Definitely needed the replay ticket as some of the sessions were at bad times for me. Love that folks from all over the world were engaged. I will be back next year.

Encourages artists to recognize the value of their talent and commit fully to their craft.

My first Clay Camp, and far better than I expected. The 3-hour sessions allowed the presenters to go through a full range of topics from inspiration to materials to techniques. I watched, even if I wasn't that interested in the pieces they were creating, and learned something from every one of them. Multiple cams and the ability to pin and go full-screen mostly worked well.
I think having someone moderate the chat a bit could make that aspect better so that the presenter could focus on questions related to what they were doing at the moment, rather than having to answer the same questions over and over. I found the 1 or 2 sessions with the moderator on screen most of the time to be too disruptive.
The closed captioning provided for some wonderful giggles!

Spending the weekend working on new techniques with other potters was a dream. as I've been wishing for a way to attend a weekend workshop but have found none in my state to attend. This fulfilled my wish and then some. As hobby a potter who focuses on the wheel, I was expecting to enjoy some time in the studio but didn't really expect learn anything relevant to my work spinning the clay. I found so much inspiration and skill in each workshop I attended. My head is spinning with ideas that will incorporate the hand-building techniques I've learned with my present forms. I'm also excited to attend the lessons I missed and revisit those I attended with the additional access to the videos.

Thank you for making this happen. I am eagerly awaiting for the next online camp.

Excellent mix of various surface decoration techniques. A lot of talented artists who shared a lot of information. I enjoyed it and am looking forward to reviewing the videos again in detail.
Biggest suggestion is around how questions are handled. Some sessions were disrupted by too many questions (some of them the same question). I would suggest a moderator for every session who can consolidate the questions so the artist does not have to manage questions while presenting.

I was only able to attend live to a couple of sessions and 10 minutes of pottery Pictionary as I had to be away that week end, but what I have seen so far looked very interesting and good fun! certainly look forward to the replays being available and will look out for the next opportunity to participate! A big thank you goes to Joshua for organising an event with such a vast variety of subjects and participating artists, and for being so helpful and quick in responding when there were issues with connection.

Clay Camp was wonderful! I watched as many as possible with the live version. I am anxiously awaiting the replay. There was a variety of classes and each one had important information with their specialized technique. I learned something new with each presenter. The price was very reasonable for the quality of presenters. This was my first time watching Clay Camp and I will be back for the next time. I have taken several other online classes but from only one potter, Clay Camp was great being able to watch so many techniques. It was inspiring!

For the artists that allowed to follow along. It would have been nice to know ahead of time, in their class description. Ie. If following along, have a green ware item. Vs bisque item. Or have vinyl stencils cut of your choosing etc. But otherwise so good.

This was my first but certainly not my last Clay Camp. The artist roster was incredible. My only regret is that I couldn’t take EVERY SINGLE WORKSHOP! Just watching those amazing artists show their craft was awe inspiring and motivated me to be better. I can’t WAIT for the videos to continue learning and growing as a ceramic artist. Absolutely amazingly wonderful!! Thank you to the amazing team that put this all together for all of us. So much appreciation!

The surface design clay camp was awesome!! There was so much good information and inspiration. There were so many good artists to learn from. I am so happy I spent the few extra dollars to have the lifetime recordings to go back and watch over and over.

It was so fun to feel like I was hanging out in the studios of all the artists. I loved seeing their spaces and styles of working. Brain is full of much wonderful inspiration--what a line up!

Great variety of classes and instructor. Will definitely back next time. Would prefer is the chat function is disabled during the lecture and people should only ask questions during Q & A.

You put together a great variety of artists and techniques. My favorite part was the beautiful tapestry of techniques, insights and tips each artist brought to the workshop. What surprised me most was that no matter what time I tuned in, there was always another great presenter. This was the biggest bang for my buck I have ever encountered in my quest to learn new things. This is a must see event! Thanks to everyone involved.

Absolutely fabulous! The workshops were well coordinated and seemed to afford some prime time viewing across the world. There were very few technical glitches (IMHO) and any that occurred were quickly overcome. Every single artist I had the pleasure of viewing live was so engaging, well-spoken and extremely helpful in the demo and discussion of their process. The volunteer moderators were equally great and very helpful when needed. Overall - there was such a great vibe amongst everyone participating - a real community. I look forward to future engagement with this community and yes - I'll definitely be back. :) Thank you for everything!

Wonderful experience!

I really enjoyed watching the live demonstrations throughout the camp. They were engaging, informative, and provided valuable insights. I’m especially looking forward to seeing the replays of the lessons I wasn’t able to catch live—it’s great to have the flexibility to revisit the content at my own pace!

What a fabulous event! I got to see far more live sessions than I expected and really love that I’ll still be able to see everything else when the recordings go online. There was so much really useful content in the sessions I saw, and I was really impressed by the level of skill and talent on show, it’s so great to be able to watch them all again. I’m going to be learning new stuff from this for months!
Thank you so much for organizing all this. It was easy to find out what was going on and not too complicated to use, even tho I’m not great at tech. So lovely to see all the enthusiasm, linking potters from all around the world. You did a great job!

Clay camp was fantastic…..even with the time differences in my part of the world I wouldn’t have missed it for anything. Surface decoration is what I enjoy most so picked up lots of tricks on how I can better my own work. The workshops I attended were fabulous and what i really enjoyed was the real time and being able to interact with others around the world. Will defineately be back next time. thanks to all those involved behind the scenes for making it an awesome event.

I recently participated in Clay Camp's 24x7 online live hand-building pottery workshops, and it was the best online clay event I've ever attended. The variety of styles and techniques offered was impressive, keeping the experience engaging and enriching. I would definitely recommend these workshops to anyone interested in pottery, as they provide a comprehensive and enjoyable learning experience.

I had been looking forward to the Clay Camp weekend for quite some time, and I must admit, I was a little afraid that my excitement would lead to disappointment. However, I was completely wrong! The weekend exceeded all my expectations and was filled with fun and excitement from start to finish.

Being part of this clay camp brought me immense joy—there were moments when I felt overwhelmed with happiness, even to the point of tears! It was an incredible experience meeting and learning from so many talented artists. The opportunity to ask questions and create alongside such a supportive group made the experience even more enriching.

Everyone at the camp was incredibly kind, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I can't wait to participate in another camp! I learned so much in each class while having a blast - it's been ages since I had this much fun.

A huge thank you to everyone who organized this amazing event! Clay Camp has truly been a highlight for me, and I appreciate all the effort that went into making it happen.

I learnt so much from so many great potters - both new methods and refining existing knowledge - and was inspiring to understand how people work and create. I have so many ideas of things I want to try now. Will keep me busy til the next one. Great value and will be back again. Totally recommend to any potter - from beginner to experienced.

Fantastic opportunity to learn all the techniques I had been interested in, especially how to use or create my own transfers of drawings. I also loved the live interaction with each of the artists to ask about their process. This was a great value for all you get to learn and experience with other artists. I highly recommend to everyone of all levels!

I did not have a chance to see all the camps, however the few that I had a chance to see were fantastic. Thank you for selecting this great group of ceramic artist.

This was my first Clay Camp and the entire event exceeded my expectations! I attended several events live and can’t wait to watch the recordings. The global event was so inspirational and can’t wait to start using some of the techniques I learned.

Fantastic information. This was a first for me, and it was convenient, fun and very affordable. Looking forward to seeing the few presenters that I missed due to sleeping. I cannot wait to see how all this information reflects in my pottery making. Loved your choice of presenters, the support staff did a great job helping with glitches. Watching such inspirational artists share their surface design processes has been so exciting. I was able to ask questions of the artists and they responded each time. I’ve learned so much and the demonstrations are invaluable in allowing me to understand. I can’t recommend the camp enough.

Absolutely loved Clay Camp, I learned so much, the instructors were excellent and I met so many wonderful people, what an amazing community, I'm so glad I bought the replays, there was so much I couldn't watch it all over the weekend and can't wait to watch the replays and create some more fun things.

I loved it! so many great hand builders to learn and laugh with. I have so many new ideas to try out. I cannot wait to watch them again and get to watch the ones I missed. Please continue with the hand building them in the future!
