I have said this many times before and I will say it again here. I cannot praise Taz enough for the work he has done for aspiring barristers both directly and indirectly.

I first came across his channel 2 years ago when I had completed the Bar Course and was in search for opportunities to boost my CV. I was struggling to secure mini-pupillages and I had absolutely no idea why that was. But this all changed when I watched a few of his videos on how to write legal CVs and cover letters. Not only did these videos teach me how to draft succinctly, but they also taught me WHY it was so crucial to focus on what I learned as opposed to what I did when drafting my work experience section.

Having learnt from Taz's examples, I was IMMEDIATELY able to transform my CV and cover letters into something compelling for Chambers to read. This was clearly evident when I received multiple mini-pupillage offers shortly after from leading criminal sets in London such as QEB Hollis Whiteman, Three Raymond Buildings, and 6KBW College Hill. In fact, I received so many offers that I had to unfortunately turn some of them down as they clashed with my timetable.

Looking back at the times when I was struggling, I have to thank Taz because, without his help, I wouldn't have been able to secure so many important mini-pupillages, which subsequently strengthened my pupillage applications. Taz's assistance didn't stop there; he also taught me how to effectively consolidate my mini-pupillages into valuable entries on the Pupillage Gateway.

I have, on many occasions, recommended Taz's YouTube channel to aspiring barristers and solicitors looking to strengthen their portfolios, and I will continue to do so. I firmly believe that Taz provides the best foundation for any aspiring lawyer—some of his advice is even better than that offered by the Inns of Court.

I’m in my fifth year of pupilllage application and so you can imagine very out of touch with my contacts at bar school. The hunt for pupillage has been isolating and very often lonely and daunting… but then I came across Taz’ YouTube. Whilst on maternity leave I watched every pupillage related video Taz had created and took notes like there was no tomorrow. Although I didn’t secure pupillage this year I managed to secure 5 interviews this round which has been my highest turn around so far! His videos were so informative, easy to follow, engaging and a joy to listen to- honestly the most informative I’ve seen online! The profession of a barrister a small one , as there is not a lot of information for those who wish to pursue a career at the bar.
