I had a very brief interaction with the VetsForever team, but wanted to leave some positive feedback. I was at the end of my rope as far as dealing with the VA in getting to my 100% after a particularly odd response from a series of exams, so I decided to bring on the VetsForever team to get me there. The intake interview, which I will never forget, had me sitting on my phone in a Costco parking lot for almost an hour, going over absolutely every little detail and potential nick and cut I ever got while I was in service. By the time I was done, I knew that these folks would be able to get me the rest of the way to 100% easily, having told me so many times that "oh, that nagging thing that you have isn't just you getting older, it's linked to your military service".
Ironically, just a few days after the intake call, I ended up getting a comp and pen exam back that ended up getting me to 100%, so I didn't end up needing to use the team's full services. Their system tagged me as having reached 100% and they started to send me invoices for payment, but I explained to them that I didn't actually need their services and they eventually cancelled the invoice. I kinda wish I could have seen the team in action, but obviously, getting to 100% was the goal.

Well its been quite a journey. I started this process on my own and quickly learn this was way over my head. As a 20 year veteran is in my nature to tackle every challenge myself. After numerous disapointment and years of fighting , I had given up. I retired in 2016 and been filling since 2018 with not one inch of progress . Fast forward to March 2025 and at 0% rated. I contacted VetsForever. And after a 30 minute fone conversation ending with " we got it from here " i was somewhat skeptical . A few weeks later the c&p's started,back to back! . I reached out to VetsForever for help with my BDD claim. I took their virtual asynchronous BDD course that walked me through each step in filing my claim. I nervously completed my claim & uploaded all my supporting medical within the required timeframe (Apr 2025) and waited until my retirement date (Jul 31). By Aug 6th, the VA came back with a decision of 100% P&T.

I honestly believe I wouldn’t have been as successful in filing my claim if I didn’t have the BDD course and filed on my own or filed outside the BDD window )because I didn’t even know what BDD was).

Jon Doerr was excellent helping me with my claim. I was nervous dealing with someone I’ve never met which he understood but he went above and beyond to assure me of my decision to have them help. He was very knowledgeable of the process and walked me through it all step by step. I don't leave reviews until the end of a service is complete however, with VetsForever and their whole team I have to say something. I have spent a lot of time overthinking, preparing, and then getting confused with the next course of action in the VA claims process. I felt fortunate just having the care established under the PACT Act, but when a close friend mentioned what VetsForever has done for him, that he personally knew some of the members of this team from the military, I felt comfortable reaching out with my claims. From the first day I felt like part of the family as information was gathered, and a strategy was proposed. Trinidad worked close with me, answering any questions I had within a half hour (at a reasonable time), and I can say my first claim was sent in with the expectation of 120-150 days till I am awarded. There was no "if" language, it was "when", and the actual win was within one month, service connected. I'm "on the board" and I know there will be more wins as we progress. Honestly blown away, excited for what will come, and hope to update this review once my process is complete!
