I didn’t join the CIINDE because I had extra time or because things felt balanced. I joined it at a point in my career where I was carrying a lot — leading, advocating, supporting teams through difficult moments, and doing what nurses do best: showing up, over and over again, even when the system is heavy.
Like many nurses, I had become very good at functioning in that space. Competent. Reliable. Strong for everyone else. But the CIINDE was one of the first experiences in my professional life that asked a different question: Who are you in all of this?
Not the role.
Not the title.
Not the expectations.
Just the nurse. The person.
The program created space for honest conversations about things we don’t often say out loud in healthcare — burnout, moral distress, the quiet erosion that can happen when the work we care about deeply starts to take more from us than we realize. Being in a cohort with other nurses who were willing to speak openly about those experiences was powerful. There was no posturing. Just real people trying to reconnect with the part of nursing that brought them here in the first place.
The CIINDE didn’t try to “fix” nurses. What it did was remind us that the health of a system is inseparable from the health of the people working within it. The coaching, the holistic nursing framework, and the reflective practice all helped reconnect something that often gets lost in modern healthcare — the understanding that nursing is both science and humanity.
For me, the program helped restore something that had slowly been buried under years of responsibility and pressure: permission to lead in a way that still protects the human side of the work.
Coming back now an advisor has been just as meaningful as completing the program itself. Watching nurses move through the same process — sometimes skeptical, sometimes exhausted, sometimes quietly searching for something they can’t quite name — and then seeing them reconnect with their confidence and their voice is incredibly powerful.
The CIINDE doesn’t give you a new title or a checklist of leadership strategies. What it gives you is something much more important: the space to remember who you are as a nurse, and the courage to carry that forward in systems that need that humanity more than ever.B. Marie-Evelyne Tshinyama
The Holistic Nurse Coach and Consultant Program at The CIINDE has been a transformative journey—both personally and professionally. It became the space where I found the holistic tools I had been searching for to support my own healing and growth.
This program gave me something I deeply needed: a sense of belonging. It was a safe and compassionate environment where I could express my stress, feel seen, and receive genuine validation and understanding. As a nurse, I was finally given permission to show up authentically, to be creative, and to prioritize myself—not just as a healthcare professional, but as a human being.
Through this experience, I was encouraged to care for myself just as deeply as I care for others. My lifestyle changes were supported and celebrated, and I was empowered to take bold, meaningful steps toward my own well-being.
Perhaps the most powerful impact was the inspiration and confidence I gained to create my own holistic business—a space designed to support individuals struggling in silence with chronic stress, pain, and trauma. The education, mentorship, and community I received at CIINDE helped me channel my personal healing into a purpose-driven path to serve others.
Thanks to this program, I now care for myself and for others in a more comprehensive, compassionate, and integrative way. It has truly changed the direction of my life and career—for the better, and for good.Leonor

I came across the The CIINDE Comprehensive Holistic Nurse Coach and Consultant program at the beginning of my "mid-life quest". After the death of our infant daughter, I was feeling stuck with my nursing and had a vision for offering more for my community. I did not know how to make this vision a reality or where to start. By completing The CIINDE program it gave me the confidence to take the leap. It created space and gave me permission to prioritise self-care and reflection, to really dive deep in to what I was searching for and how I was going to achieve it. The CIINDE program gave me permission to believe in and be my authentic self, personally and professionally.

I started this program looking to explore a bridge or holistic/traditional care models and was wondering about how to expand on patient family centered care methodology with holistically driven care practices and the application of complimentary integrative modalities for patients, families and the multidisciplinary care teams. I was not anticipating the foundational impact this program would have in shifting my professional and personal approach to self-discovery, self-advocacy and authentic, meaningful self-care. The experience is rejuvenating to my sense of self and restorative to my love of nursing. Such BIG Thank You... Everyday, Every Moment - Leaning in and Learning, One breath at a time!

Being selected as the recipient of the Cultivating CIINDEness scholarship for Cohort 8 has been one of the greatest gifts I have ever received. The personal and professional growth that I've experienced while completing this certificate program has not only transformed the care and support that I am able to provide for others, but also the level of care and support that I am able to provide myself. Completing the Comprehensive Program has enabled me to be able to connect with an exceptional community of holistic nurses and nurse coaches, many of whom have now become dear friends. I am deeply grateful for the knowledge and support that I continue to receive throughout this journey

The holistic training I received at the CIINDE has profoundly impacted both my personal and professional life. Holistic nursing, with its emphasis on self-care, self-reflection, and compassion, has the potential to transform the nursing work environment....Having an experienced nurse coach to bridge the gap between frontline staff and management would be an invaluable tool for addressing toxic workplace culture and improving nurse retention. Through cultural change and a focus on holistic care, we can inspire and retain the next generation of nurses, creating a healthier and more supportive profession for all.

I am one of the first students to graduate from The CIINDE Holistic Nurse Coaching Program. I have just published my website and want to introduce my independent practice Conscious Heart Nursing. I currently work full time in hospital cardiac care and part time holistic nurse coach. I have been supporting clients with stress management, spiritual care and nourishing healthy self care habits. This month I published my website and hope to build my client base and join a local wellness establishment and or holistic wellness team in the near future. I have so much gratitude for the amazing nurses at The CIINDE and the beautiful souls that I’ve met thought this course!
Choosing to take the CIINDE Holistic Nurse Coach & Consultant Program in September 2020 has been one of the most transformative decisions of my nursing career. As a holistic nurse with a passion for community well-being, prevention, and creating spaces where people feel truly seen and supported, this program met me exactly where I was—and brought me exactly where I needed to go.
From the very beginning, the learning environment felt safe, nurturing, and deeply aligned with the values I live and teach: connection, communication, collaboration, and a whole-person approach. The educators are warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in each student’s growth—professionally, personally, and spiritually.
What I loved the most is how CIINDE blends evidence-based nursing with the art of presence, intuition, and mindful leadership. This isn’t just another certification; it’s a journey back to yourself. It helped me integrate everything I already knew as a nurse and community leader, while giving me new tools to coach, guide, and empower others with more confidence and clarity.
Throughout the program, I felt supported to expand my practice in meaningful ways. The combination of deep reflection, coaching practice, holistic frameworks, mentorship, and community created a shift in me—one that is still unfolding in my work at the Hub de la Baie, Espace Santé & Creation, in my workshops, and in the way I show up for my family and my community.
Today, I feel more grounded, purposeful, and aligned than ever. The CIINDE didn’t just help me grow as a professional—it helped me grow as a human being.
If you are a nurse seeking to reconnect with your purpose, elevate your practice, and contribute to the world in a way that feels authentic, heart-centered, and sustainable, I cannot recommend the CIINDE program enough. It’s an investment not only in your career, but in your whole life.

Being a part of Cohort 9 of the Comprehensive Holistic Nurse, Nurse Coach & Consultant certificate program was such a fulfilling experience for me 🤎 The journey through this course provided me with such a supportive community of nurses. The students and instructors - all with unique backgrounds and experience - shared a common thread that we all have a passion and belief that nursing is an art and a science; and that tending to the mind, body, and spirit of our clients/ patients and ourselves is essential to health and wellbeing.
The experience of participating in this program was challenging in the gentlest of ways - I spent time reflecting and growing in ways I truly never expected to this far into my nursing career. In a way it felt like a full circle moment, re-affirming and returning to the ways I had been taught as a new student nurse - and how I want to be as a nurse. A holistic nurse - who cares for body, mind, and spirit of both herself and others.
Whether you are new or experienced within the nursing profession, I highly recommend the experience of taking this program - it's a wonderful journey and you will learn so much.Maria Alejandro

When I first started the CIINDE program, I didn't know what to expect. Perhaps to learn how to coach as a nurse and use the holistic consultant as an entreprenural feat. Also, I was more interested in adding the title at the end of my RPN. However, this program was not like any other certificate programs I've done. This program was a journey of self-discovery. I had learned many things about myself that I thought I knew but I didn't. The program was very heavy in self-exploration through self-reflection. I learned to love myself through simply being kind to myself and to allow myself to accept that pausing is part of self-care. As a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a travel nurse, and a student, I've learned that simply learning to listen to my body and allowing the rest that my body is asking me to do is very powerful. That it is ok to gently stop and be connected to nature and who I am, the soul. I am very thankful for this program as it transformed me in ways that I never could imagined. I am now moving everyday with intent and being more self-aware and mindful. This has tremendous effect with always being present in my personal life and nursing profession. Whenever I feel irritable or overwhelmed, I now know that it is connected with my mind, body, and soul, therefore, I have better control with my emotions. Thank you CIINDE. I wish this is part of the nursing curriculum because learning to care and love oneself is the epitome of taking care of someone- nursing.

RN | Holistic Nurse | Nurse Coach - Prairie Soul Wellness- Soon to be Prairie Integrative Health
I’m a small-town prairie girl turned Registered Nurse, Holistic Nurse Coach, and Yoga Therapist. I grew up on a rural family farm in Saskatchewan, graduating high school with a class of just ten. Life moved fast—I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, wrote my national exam, got married, and became a mom all within the same year. I was following the path I thought I was supposed to…
For 18 years, I worked as an RN in rural acute care and public health. I loved nursing, but over time, I began to feel like I didn’t fully belong in either role. Something was missing. I knew I wanted to support people in a way that went beyond symptoms and checklists—to address the whole person, not just their diagnosis.
So, I made a bold decision. I stepped away from traditional nursing and decided to focus on yoga therapy and creating a space where movement, healing, and community could thrive; along with farming with my family. But even after resigning, my passion for nursing never left me.
That’s when I found The CIINDE—and it changed everything.
Here, I felt like I finally belonged. I learned how to bridge science with integrative healing, how to guide people through life’s challenges in a way that honours body, mind, energy, emotions, environment, and nervous system. It reignited my passion for nursing in a way that makes sense to me. It finally became clear why I was having a hard time both staying and leaving my career. I have since manifested new opportunities and soon opening Prairie Integrative Health. Thank you!

The Comprehensive Holistic Nurse, Nurse Coach & Consultant Certificate Program supported me to unpack and reflect on my two and a half decades of Nursing experiences. The CIINDE framework provided a psychologically safe space to support me to challenge my beliefs and grow my beliefs and nursing practice. Participation in CIINDE has been one of my most provocative learning experiences.
