Shona came and completed a Health & Safety audit for us in our Technology dept. It was very comprehensive and allowed the school to upgrade where necessary to meet the new legislation – and to keep the students safe.

We needed a health and safety expert to develop a comprehensive H&S; system for our data cabling business. Our policy manual needed bringing up to date and we needed advice on changes needed to comply with new regulations. Compared to a consultant we had used previously, Shona made the process very straightforward and the documents she provided were clear and simple to follow. She facilitated a work shop with our entire team, educating us on the new regulations and training us to write SOPs. Also, Shona has been particularly helpful in advising us on the documents we need to provide to our clients including commercial builders and government agencies to prove we have the appropriate H&S; systems in place. We have recently started running our own Earthmoving company in Hokianga. We were in need of a Health and Safety system which was specific to what we do. Shona made things very clear from the beginning as to what we needed in order to meet Health and Safety requirements. After the phone conference she developed our system and then met with us to explain all aspects of the system. She provided us with a step by step tutorial on how to use the system effectively, and to maintain it through setting goals and working towards achieving these. Health & safety is the most important component of building site management, and we hired Shona Kelly as the Health and Safety Consultant for our forty-three allotment residential development. This engagement occurred contemporaneously with the update to the statute and many of the employed contractors did not have and understanding of, or the systems and management practises in place to comply with legislation. For the approximately eighteen months build commencing late in 2015, Shona was tasked to work with our contractors, to assist developing simple systems for each and to conduct monthly site audits to ensure compliance. Shona is a reliable and effective consultant, who toiled to raise and maintain the health and safety standard of the building site, thereby ensuring all went home safely – every day.
