Reason: Complex Trauma and emotional dysregulation

Accomplished: I'm much calmer in general, I have tools to regulate myself when challenging emotions arise, and difficult emotions don't last nearly as long, nor do they feel so "big". I also have much more self-compassion and kindness in my self-talk. I show up differently, with more strength and an awareness of my worth.

My experience and results: My experience working with Marcy has been life-altering for me. I have done years of therapy and never uncovered my core limiting, painful and untrue beliefs before. Marcy was able to help me identify what those were very quickly and help me see how carrying around those false messages has held me back from living a full life. These awarenesses have helped me to have compassion for myself. I literally said to her in one of our sessions that I didn't know how she was able to uncover what countless therapists couldn't. The other big takeaway for me with my work with her has been to understand the why's. I've always felt different and broken and wondered why I couldn't react and handle life like others seem to, and she has shown me how to understand why my years of trauma and abuse have shaped my choices and reactions, which is now allowing me to now make different decisions that empower me. Marcy also has a way of calming my nervous system and helping me feel fully seen, safe and accepted for who I am. I am so grateful for her help.

I came to Marcy due to nervous system dysregulation that impacted my ability to functionally discern feelings from thoughts and engage successfully in relationships, responsibilities and self care.
Some of the many benefits I received from this work with Marcy is my racing mind slowed and I was able to deeply rest. My relationship to myself, food, money, family and friends continues to evolve, grow and change as Marcy guides me deeper into this work.

Marcy has a profound intuitive and sensitive understanding of her practice. She is attentive and knows precisely what questions to ask. She guides me to strengthen my own instincts, self awareness and confidence with precise and intelligent questions.

Throughout my recovery journey I have sought other spiritual paths and talk therapy to deal with complex trauma. Within my talk therapy sessions I also received extensive EMDR. I also regularly meet with a psychiatrist to maintain the best possible mental health. All of this has been monumental in my healing journey but it was never quite enough. Marcy has helped me heel my trauma on a level I never thought possible. She has helped me gain a true understanding of my behavioral and emotional patterns. In learning this truth I have been able to make changes that allow me to live a free, calm, and peaceful life.

I came to Marcy and Living Beyond Limits, because I was struggling to work through abandonment issues, grief and setting boundaries, caused by unresolved childhood trauma.
Since working with Marcy, I have made tremendous progress toward setting and reinforcing boundaries.

My experience working with Marcy was so enlightening, because I got to see that all trauma, whether big [T] trauma or little [t] trauma, it all affects our human bodies the same way. I never realized how much unresolved childhood trauma was ruling every aspect of my life. My finances, my relationships, and even my ability to regulate and maintain my body weight were suffering from trauma responses.
The most impactful thing I learned while working with Marcy was to tune into, or what she calls, sensing what my body is telling me. With Marcy’s help, I was able to decipher how my thoughts, were affecting my body, my behaviors, and my ability to be compassionate with myself.
If you are struggling with issues in your life, I am confident that working with Marcy will help you to find a way to work through your problems. I highly recommend her coaching services because the tools you learn will become invaluable.
